1 Brush pears with lemon juice. 2 Combine wine, tea, vanilla, sugar substitute and cloves in a saucepan and bring to a boil. 3 Add whole pears, cover and simmer for 20 minutes. Carefully remove pears with a slotted spoon and set aside. 4 Mix sugar free jello with water and add to the syrup in the saucepan. Bring to a boil. 5 As soon as the syrup starts to thicken, add the pears once again. Lower heat and gently turn the pears with a wooden spoon until they develop a dark, rich color. 6 Place the pears in a container, cover with syrup and refrigerate. You can slice a small piece from the bottom of the pears to help them stand nicely. 7 Plate Garnish: 1 cinnamon stick, sugar-free chocolate syrup.
Additional Information
If desired, garnish with orange peel dipped in the sauce.
