Ingredients
14 floz low fat unsalted chicken broth
0.5 cup cold water
0.25 tsp salt
1.33 cup orzo pasta (or rosamarina pasta)
2 medium garlic cloves , finely chopped
8 fresh green onions , sliced
0.33 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tbsp fresh basil , chopped (or 1 tsp dried basil)
0.12 tsp black pepper , freshly ground


Directions
1 Using a 2-quart saucepan, heat broth, water, and salt to boiling. Stir in pasta, garlic, and onions. Heat to boiling, reduce heat. Cover and simmer 12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until most of the liquid is absorbed.
2 Stir in remaining ingredients. Serve hot.
