Servings
Ingredients
1.5 cup marinara sauce
1 cup white wine , dry
4 tbsp fresh basil , chopped
3 medium garlic cloves , minced
2 lb Mussels, blue, raw, medium , scrubbed and debearded

Directions
1 In a small saucepan, over medium heat, heat the tomato sauce; keep warm.
2 In a large pot, over medium-high heat, bring to a boil the wine, 2 tablespoons of the basil, and the garlic. Lower heat, add the mussels, put lid on pot, and steam until they open (5-8 minutes). Any mussels that have remained closed, discard. Separate the mussels into 4 serving bowls.
3 Add some of the cooking liquid from the mussels and spoon the tomato sauce on top. Sprinkle with the remaining chopped basil.
Additional Information
Serve this entrée with some crusty bread. To make this dish heartier, serve the mussels and sauce over 1 cup of linguine or any favorite pasta.
