Servings
Ingredients
1.5 cup fresh mushroom slices
1 tbsp margarine
1 tbsp white all purpose flour
0.5 cup beef broth (low sodium)
0.5 cup whole milk
0.12 tsp black pepper


Directions
1 Coat nonstick pan with cooking spray. Place pan on stovetop over high heat. and sauté mushrooms until brown, about 4 minutes; set aside.
2 Add mushrooms and sauté until mushrooms are browned, about 4 minutes. Transfer mushrooms to bowl. Set aside.
3 Return pan to stove. Melt margarine. Add flour and mix until smooth.
4 Stir in beef broth and milk, stirring constantly. Cook on low heat until thick, about 4-5 minutes.
5 Add pepper and return mushrooms to sauce. Heat. Serve.
Additional Information
Sauce can be made one day in advance. Gently reheat adding more stock or milk if necessary.
