0.67 cup unsalted butter
0.33 cup Cocoa Powder, unsweetened
1 tsp instant coffee granules
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
0.75 cup white all purpose flour
0.5 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
1 tsp grated orange peel , finely shredded (or tangerine)
0.5 cup powdered sugar (optional)


Directions
1 Grease 8x8x2-inch baking pan, set aside.
2 Melt butter in a medium saucepan, stir in cocoa powder and coffee crystals.
3 Remove the mixture from heat and stir in granulated sugar.
4 Add eggs one at a time, stirring to combine after each. Beat lightly by hand until the ingredients are combined then stir in flour.
5 Fold in chocolate pieces, and shredded peel.
6 Spread the mixture into prepared pan, and bake for 30 minutes in a 350º oven.
7 Cool in pan on a wire rack, and sift powdered sugar over the top if desired. Cut into 24 bars to serve.
