1 Using electric beaters, whip egg whites and cream of tartar to soft peaks. Slowly beat in sugar to form stiff peaks. Pour mixture into a 8 or 9-inch glass pie plate, evenly spreading. 2 Bake at 350 degrees F for 40 minutes or until crust is firm and golden. Let cool.
