Servings
Ingredients
3 tbsp cooking sherry
2 tbsp orange juice
2 tbsp low sodium soy sauce
2 medium garlic cloves , minced
2 scallions , finely chopped, white partonly
0.67 oz fresh ginger root , minced (1 1/2" piece)
1 tsp grated orange peel
0.12 tsp hot red pepper flakes
8 oz flank steak


Directions
1 In small mixing bowl, combine sherry, orange juice, soy sauce, scallions, ginger, orange zest, and red pepper flakes.
2 Score each steak with 1/8" deep diagonal lines. Place steaks in shallow baking dish, add sherry mixture.
3 Coat both sides of steak with marinade. Cover and refrigerate about 15 minutes.
4 Preheat grill to 400°F.
5 Grill steaks 3 minutes per side, turning once.
6 Remove steaks from grill, place on cutting board. Let stand 3 minutes.
7 Cut diagonally into thin slices, serve.
