Ingredients
6 oz sugar-free maple syrup
2 tbsp unsweetened applesauce
8 egg whites (or 1 cup Egg Beaters)
1 Cake, yellow, light, dry mix, 18.5 ounce package (do not make as directed on box)
5 oz cold water (1/3 cup)
8 oz whipped fat-free topping (or 2 tablespoons powdered sugar)


Directions
1 Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Spray an 11x17-inch jelly-roll pan with cooking spray and set aside.
2 In a medium bowl, briskly mix all ingredients except whipped topping (or powdered sugar) with a whisk for 1 minute. Pour into pan.
3 Bake at 350 degrees for 16 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
4 To serve warm: Serve with a dab (about 2 tablespoons per serving) of whipped topping.
5 To serve at room temperature: Once completely cooled, sprinkle or sift 2 tablespoons powdered sugar on top of entire cake.
