Ingredients
3 tbsp vegetable oil
0.75 tsp salt
0.5 tsp dry mustard
0.12 tsp paprika
0.25 tsp hot pepper sauce
1 cup Juice, grapefruit, unsweetened, canned , divided
2 tsp cornstarch


Directions
1 In a small bowl, combine the vegetable oil, salt, dry mustard, paprika, and hot sauce. Stir until well blended and set aside.
2 Separately, combine 1/2 cup of the grapefruit juice and cornstarch in a small saucepan and stir to blend. Stirring constantly, cook over medium heat until the mixture is bubbly and thickened. Remove from the heat.
3 Combine the oil and cornstarch mixtures in the bowl and then beet with an electric mixer at medium speed until smooth. Add the remaining 1/2 cup of grapefruit juice and beat until the dressing is blended well.
4 Cover and refrigerate until well chilled.
Additional Information
You ca easily reduce the fat levels in your dressing recipes by replacing two-thirds of the oil called for with pureed cucumber or plain, unsweetened low-fat yogurt.
