Ingredients
2 fresh green onions , chopped
1 whole jalapeno pepper , seeded and finely chopped
1 tbsp fresh ginger root , peeled, minced
2 tbsp white wine vinegar
2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
3 tsp vegetable oil , divided
1 tsp ground allspice
1 tsp ground thyme
0.5 tsp salt
1 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts , cut into 12 pieces
1 medium red bell peppers , seeded and cut into 1 inch pieces
1 chopped green bell peppers , seeded and cut into 1 inch pieces
1 pinch salt


Directions
1 In blender, add green onions, jalapenos, ginger, vinegar, Worcestershire, 2 teaspoons oil, allspice, thyme, and 1/2 teaspoon salt. Process into paste
2 Place chicken in large, resealable plastic bag and add mixture from blender. Seal bag and turn to coat well. Refrigerate for 1 hour to marinate.
3 In small bowl, toss both peppers with remaining teaspoon of oil and a pinch salt.
4 Preheat broiler.
5 Alternately thread chicken and pepper onto skewers, place on rack of broiler pan. Discard marinade.
6 Place pan at closest position to heat source and broil for 5 minutes, turn and continue cooking until no longer pink, about 5 more minutes.
Additional Information
The seasoning can also be used to marinate fish.
