Directions
1 Melt the chocolate and butter in a small heavy pot.
2 Add in sugar. Slowly stir in the evaporated milk and bring to a boil.
3 Lower heat and gently boil for 8 minutes, stir often.
4 Remove from heat, slightly cool, and serve warm over ice cream.
5 Cover and refrigerate leftovers for up to 3 days.
Additional Information
This is a basic recipe that can be easily improved upon by using a lowfat butter or margarine such as Smart Balance, evaporated skim milk, and a sugar substitute.
