1 Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. 2 Cut 6 large squares of aluminum foil and spread olive oil on them. 3 Place one halibut steak in the center of each square. 4 Sprinkle each piece of fish with white wine. 5 Place a thyme sprig, lemon slice, a few fennel seeds, and a parsley sprig on each piece of fish. 6 Season with fresh ground pepper. 7 Seal the foil to make individual packets, and bake the packets on a baking sheet for 10-15 minutes. 8 Place packets on serving plates, open them, and slide steaks out onto plates.
