1 Cut off stems from okra. Boil a pot of water and cook okra 1 to 2 minutes. Strain well. 2 Heat a cooking spray coated frying pan over medium heat. Sauté okra until okra is almost black, mixing often. Season okra with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
Additional Information
Use small okra because they will be most tender and flavorful. Don't get nervous if you think the okra are getting to dark, this is a Cajun recipe.
