Ingredients
1 lb extra lean ground beef (5% fat)
0.5 cup fresh chopped onion
2 egg whites
1 pinch salt (to taste)
1 pinch black pepper (to taste)
1 pinch garlic powder (to taste)
2 Buns, hamburger , split in half
4 Lettuce, romaine, fresh, inner leaf
4 small tomato , cut into 4 slices
8 piece Pickles, dill, low sodium, slices


Directions
1 In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, onions, and egg whites. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Divide mixture evenly, and shape into 4 burgers.
2 Place on a plate, cover, and refrigerate until ready to grill.
3 Preheat stovetop or electric indoor grill according to manufacturer's instructions, use broiler, or fire up the outdoor grill if weather permits.
4 Grill meat about 6 to 8 minutes, turning once until cooked through.
5 Place a lettuce leaf on each half roll. Place burger on lettuce and top with tomato and pickle slices. Serve with mustard and ketchup.
