Ingredients

Directions
Microwave the bay leaves in the milk on HIGH for 2 1/2 minutes or until milk boils, let cool and discard the bay leaves.
Mix the yeast and 2 teaspoons of the sugar into the warm water and allow mixture to sit for 5 minutes.
In a large mixing bowl stir together the remaining sugar with 2 cups of the flour, margarine, salt, and egg.
Mix in the yeast and cooled milk mixture and use an electric mixer on medium to blend well.
Slowly add 5 more cups of flour, beating well, until a soft dough has formed.
Knead the dough out on a lightly floured surface until smooth and stretchy. Use the remaining flour as you are kneading to prevent dough from sticking to your hands.
Coat a large bowl with cooking spray, add the dough and turn to coat all sides of dough with spray.
Let dough rise, covered, for 1 hour in a warm place.
Bring the apple juice and corn starch to a boil in a small saucepan. Cook for 1 minute stirring constantly. Let cool.
Once dough has risen punch it down, place on a floured surface and let stand for another 5 minutes.
Divide dough into 6 equal parts and form each piece into a 20-inch long rope.
Coat a baking sheet with cooking spray and place 3 of the ropes on half of the tray. Pinch the ends together of the 3 ropes.
Braid together the 3 ropes and pinch end together. Braid together the remaining 3 ropes on other half of tray.
Cover braids and let rest for 1 hour in a warm place.
After rising brush braids with the apple juice mixture and sesame seeds.
Bake for 30 minutes at 350 degrees F. Remove and let cool on a wire rack.
