Servings
Ingredients
3 fresh green onions , minced
3 tbsp low sodium soy sauce
2 tsp fresh ginger root , grated
1 tsp sesame oil (dark)
0.5 tsp ground red pepper (cayenne)
3 medium garlic cloves , minced, divided
1 lb extra lean top round steak , thinly sliced
2 tsp vegetable oil , divided
8 oz Broccoli, stalk, medium, fresh (or broccoli slaw mix)
1.5 cup snow peas
1 small red bell peppers , cut into thin strips
2 tbsp hoisin sauce
2 tbsp sesame seeds , toasted
2 cup Rice, jasmine, dry (optional)

Directions
1 Combine the green onions, soy sauce, ginger, sesame oil, red pepper, and 2 garlic cloves in a large, zip-top, plastic freezer bag. Add the beef. Seal the bag and shake to coat. Chill for 30 minutes.
2 Sauté the remaining garlic clove in 1 teaspoon of hot vegetable oil in a large skillet/wok over medium-high heat for 1 minute.
3 Add the beef mixture and continue cooking, stirring often, for 5-10 minutes or to desired degree of doneness.
4 Remove the beef mixture from the pan and keep warm.
5 Sauté the slaw mix, snow peas, and bell pepper in the remaining 1 teaspoon vegetable oil for 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are crisp-tender
6 Stir in the hoisin sauce. Add the beef mixture back to the skillet. Cook for 2-3 more minutes until thoroughly heated.
7 Sprinkle with the sesame seeds and serve over rice or cellophane noodles, if desired.
Additional Information
Wrap the steak in plastic wrap and freeze for 15 minutes before slicing. This makes slicing it thinly easier.
