Ingredients
0.25 cup Butter, unsalted, stick , softened (1/2 stick)
1 Cake, chocolate, dry mix, 18.50 ounce package
1 eggs , lightly beaten
2 tbsp cold water
0.75 cup chopped walnuts , finely
48 piece Candy, dark chocolate stars, grain sweetened


Directions
1 Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
2 In a large bowl cut butter into fudge cake mix until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Take egg and water and stir into mixture until well blended.
3 Shape cookie dough into 1/2-inch balls then roll in walnuts and press nuts gently into the cookie dough. Take cookie balls and place then on ungreased baking sheets about 2 inches apart.
4 Place cookies in oven and bake for 12 minutes or until cookies have puffed and are nearly set. Remove cookies from oven and place chocolate star candies in the center of each cookie.
5 Return cookies to oven for 1 minute then remove and allow to cool for 2 minutes on the baking sheets. Remove cookies from baking sheets to wire racks and allow to cool completely.
Additional Information
Cake mix, almonds, and chocolate makes these cookies sweet, moist and crunchy.
