Directions
1 Coat an 8 x 4 x 2 inch loaf pan with cooking spray and dust with cornmeal.
2 Mix 1 1/2 cups flour, oats, yeast, and salt. Combine milk and honey in a pot and heat until warm; mix in baking soda.
3 Combine milk mixture with flour mixture and stir until smooth. Add in enough of the extra flour to form a thick batter. Spoon batter into the prepared pan and let rise, covered, in a warm place 45 to 60 minutes.
4 Bake at 400 degrees F for 25 to 30 minutes. Take out of pan and let cool.
Additional Information
Add cinnamon and raisins to the bread for variety.
