Ingredients
1 cooking spray
2 eggs , well beaten
1 cup brown sugar (light)
0.5 cup low fat buttermilk
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 cup white all purpose flour
0.25 tsp salt
0.25 tsp ground allspice
8 oz plums , mashed, pits removed (canned plums can be substituted)
1 cup chopped pecans (or hazlenuts)
0.5 cup powdered sugar


Directions
1 Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Spray a 13x9-inch baking dish or pan with nonstick cooking spray.
2 In a medium mixing bowl, cream together the beaten eggs with the brown sugar, buttermilk, and vanilla.
3 Add the flour, salt, and allspice, beating well together, then stir in the cooked plums and chopped pecans
4 Pour this batter into the prepared baking dish, spread evenly. Bake 35 to 40 minutes, until golden.
5 Remove and cool completely on wire rack. Cut into about 30 bars and dust well with fine sifted powdered sugar, if desired.
