1 lb extra lean ground beef (5% fat)
3 fresh plum tomatoes , seeded and chopped
0.25 cup fresh cilantro , minced
1 tbsp chili powder
2 tsp sliced jalapeno peppers , seeded, minced
0.5 tsp salt
0.5 tsp oregano leaves
0.5 tsp ground cumin
0.25 tsp black pepper
4 piece Cheese, cheddar, sharp, slices
0.25 cup fat free sour cream
4 Buns, hamburger
4 piece fresh romaine leaves
1 fresh tomatoes , 8 slices
1 cup sliced white onion , grilled, 8 slices, optional


Directions
1 Heat grill.
2 Mix the ground round with chopped plum tomatoes, cilantro, chili powder, jalapeno peppers, salt, oregano, cumin and black pepper, divide into 4 equal sizes and form into hamburger patties, 1/2 inch thick.
3 Place burgers on grill and cook until done, about 6 minutes per side.
4 Place 1 slice of cheese on each burger, close grill and cook until cheese melts, about 1 minute.
5 Serve on bun with 1 slice of lettuce, 2 slices of tomato, and onion (optional).
Additional Information
If it is too spicy for you omit the jalapeno peppers.
