Ingredients
0.75 cup white all purpose flour
5 tbsp sugar , divided
1 tsp double acting baking powder
0.25 tsp salt
3 tbsp margarine
3 tbsp fat free milk
1.5 cup canned sweet cherries, drained , no pits
1.5 cup fresh blueberries
1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
1 tbsp fresh lemon peel , grated
0.25 tsp ground cinnamon


Directions
1 Mix flour, 2 tablespoons sugar, baking powder, and salt. Using a pastry blender or 2 knives, cut in margarine to form coarse crumbs. Add in milk to form a soft dough. Reserve.
2 Mix cherries and blueberries with 3 tablespoons sugar, lemon juice, lemon rind, and cinnamon in a large pot. Bring to a boil; lower heat and simmer 5 minutes.
3 Spoon rounded tablespoons of dough onto berry mixture and cook 10 minutes. Place lid on pot and cook 10 more minutes. Serve warm.
