Servings
Ingredients
3 cup sliced carrots , peeled
0.33 cup Juice, orange, fresh
0.25 cup cold water
1 tbsp honey
1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
1 tsp ground cinnamon
0.5 tsp ground nutmeg
1 tbsp cornstarch (or arrowroot powder)
2 tbsp cold water


Directions
1 Steam carrots on a steamer rack over a pot of boiling water. Strain and reserve.
2 Whisk together orange juice, water, honey, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a small saucepan and let boil over medium heat. Lower the heat and simmer for 3 minutes.
3 Mix the cornstarch and water and pour into the orange juice mixture. Let this simmer for 3 minutes. Spoon the orange glaze over carrots.
Additional Information
If desired, sprinkle mint leaves on top for garnish. Also, this glaze also works for cooked beets.
