Ingredients
1 piece Bread, white, soft, slice
4 large tomato
0.5 cup low fat buttermilk (or fat free)
0.5 cup Cheese, romano, fresh, grated
1 tsp black pepper , freshly ground
1 Eggs, large, raw , lightly beaten
8 tsp fresh cilantro


Directions
1 Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
2 Place bread in a blender and process until ground to measure about 1/2 cup, set aside.
3 Core the tomatoes and cut in half crosswise, remove seeds by pushing out with thumbs.
4 Place 1 tablespoon of buttermilk into each tomato half.
5 In a small bowl, mix the bread crumbles from the blender, cheese, pepper, and egg white. Divide evenly and place into each tomato half.
6 Spray nonstick cooking spray onto a cookie sheet and place tomatoes on sheet.
7 Bake for 17 minutes then turn on broiler and broil tomatoes until browned, about 2 minutes. Sprinkle with fresh cilantro and serve.
Additional Information
Any fresh herb can be used instead of cilantro, try rosemary, oregano, parsley etc.
