1 lb fresh green beans , washed and trimmed
0.5 cup cold water
0.25 cup Bread Crumbs, Italian style
0.25 cup extra virgin olive oil
1 pinch salt and pepper (to taste)
0.25 tsp garlic powder
0.25 tsp ground oregano
0.25 tsp dried basil
0.25 cup grated Parmesan cheese


Directions
1 Combine green beans and 1/2 cup water in a medium pot.
2 Cover and bring to boil. Reduce heat to medium, let beans cook for 10 minutes or until tender. Drain well.
3 Place beans in a medium serving bowl, and mix in bread crumbs, olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, oregano and basil.
4 Toss mixture until the beans are coated. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese, and serve.
Additional Information
This recipe also works well using broccoli or cauliflower.
