Ingredients
2 tbsp vegetable oil
0.75 cup fresh chopped celery , finely
0.5 cup fresh chopped onion , finely
2 cup fat free reduced sodium chicken broth (or beef )
0.75 tsp ground sage (or ground thyme)
0.5 pinch black pepper
12 piece Bread, white, sandwich , day-old
2 egg whites


Directions
1 Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
2 Pour oil in the bottom of a saucepan and add celery and onions. Cook over medium heat for 5 minutes, stirring frequently.
3 Remove from heat and mix in the broth and seasonings.
4 Cut bread into cubes and place in a large mixing bowl.
5 Add egg whites to lukewarm vegetables and broth, mix well. Pour over bread cubes and toss.
6 Spread evenly in an 8-inch cake pan greased with margarine.
7 Bake for 45 minutes.
8 Cut into 12 equal servings, allowing one square per serving.
