Ingredients
1 lb Beef, top round steak, raw , cut 1 inch thick
8 oz Sausage, bratwurst, chicken, cooked
1 tbsp canola oil
1 large onion
8 oz chopped green bell peppers (or red or yellow)
1 tsp ground thyme , crushed
0.12 tsp salt
0.12 tsp black pepper
29 oz canned unsalted diced tomatoes , undrained
2 tbsp quick cooking tapioca


Directions
1 Remove excess fat from meat, cut into 4 equal pieces.
2 Cut bratwurst into 3/4" slices.
3 Peel onion and slice into rings.
4 In large skillet over medium heat, heat oil and cook meat and bratwurst until brown on all sides. Drain off fat and set aside.
5 In 3 1/2- or 4 quart slow cooker, place onion and sweet pepper. Sprinkle with thyme, salt, and pepper.
6 Add undrained tomatoes, tapioca, beef, and bratwurst.
7 Reduce heat to low, cover and cook 8 - 10 hours, or on high heat setting 4 - 5 hours.
