Ingredients
4 whole loin lean pork chops , about 3/4-inch thick
2 tsp olive oil
0.25 cup hoisin sauce
0.25 cup cold water
2 tbsp low sodium soy sauce
2 tbsp fresh ginger root , grated
2 medium garlic cloves , crushed
0.25 tsp onion powder
1 pinch tabasco sauce


Directions
1 Heat oil in large skillet over medium high heat.
2 Brown chops about 2 to 3 minutes on each side, add hoisin sauce, water, soy sauce, ginger, garlic, onion powder, and hot pepper sauce to skillet, cover tightly and simmer over medium low heat for 20 minutes.

Fast braising makes these pork chops tender, and the braising liquid adds flavor power.
