1 Coat a medium pot with cooking spray and heat over medium heat. Cook onion, carrot, celery, and garlic 5 minutes or until soft. Mix in oregano, tarragon, thyme, and nutmeg and cook 1 to 2 more minutes. 2 Stir in tomato sauce, tomatoes, wine, and protein crumbles. Bring to a boil. Lower heat and simmer 15 minutes, stirring often. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Additional Information
Serve this thick sauce with an equally thick pasta such as spaghetti or farfalle.
