Directions
1 Preheat oven to 350ºF. Mix the barley, onion soup mix, and water in a 3-quart casserole dish. Set aside.
2 In a small skillet, melt the margarine over medium heat and sauté the mushrooms until tender, about 5 minutes. Add to the barley mixture. Cover tightly with foil or with a lid, and bake for 1 to 1-1/4 hours, or until barley is done and the liquid is absorbed.
Additional Information
Add exotic mushrooms for added pizzazz.
