1 Preheat the oven to 450 degrees. Spray an 8 inch cast iron skillet with the cooking spray. 2 In a bowl, mix together the farina, flour, and baking powder. Form a hole in the center. 3 Mix together the buttermilk, oil, and egg in a separate bowl. Combine with the flour mixture an mix until all of the ingredients are moistened. 4 Pour the mixture into the skillet. Bake for about 30 minutes. Slice into 8 wedges and serve.
Additional Information
You can substitute instant cream of wheat for the farina.
