Ingredients
3 medium apples , peeled, cored, and cut into wedges (tart apples)
1 cup water
2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
0.5 cup sugar
0.25 tsp ground cinnamon
3 tbsp horseradish


Directions
1 Heat apple wedges with water and lemon juice in medium-sized saucepan to boiling.
2 Stir in sugar and cinnamon. Cook, stirring constantly, until sugar dissolves. Remove from heat, cover and refrigerate.
3 Stir in horseradish before serving. Serve cold or at room temperature.


Additional Information
Sauce can be made up to three days ahead of time, covered and refrigerated. Makes 2 cups.
