Ingredients
5 oz apple juice
2 tsp cornstarch
2 tbsp brown sugar
0.25 tsp ground cinnamon
1 pinch salt
4 medium apples , peeled, sliced thin (3.5 cups)


Directions
1 Mix 1 tablespoon apple juice and the cornstarch in a small bowl, stirring well. Set aside.
2 Mix the brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt in a 2-quart pot, stirring well. Add the remaining apple juice and stir well.
3 Add the apples and bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Reduce the heat to medium-low and cover. Let simmer, stirring occasionally, for 5 minutes until the apples are tender.
4 Stir the cornstarch mixture. Add it to the pot and cook, stirring, for 1-2 minutes until thickened and bubbly.
Additional Information
Serve warm over pancakes, French toast, waffles, crepes, or as an ice cream topping.
