Servings
Ingredients
0.33 cup white all purpose flour
1 tsp salt
0.5 tsp white pepper
2 tsp garlic powder
2 tsp sage, ground
2 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts
3 tbsp canola oil
4 cup Apples, fresh, sliced , Granny Smith, sliced thinly
2 cup apple cider
1 tbsp cornstarch
1 cup fat free milk

Directions
1 Mix the flour, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and sage in a shallow pan. Dredge the chicken through the flour mixture.
2 Heat the oil in a large skillet or a Dutch oven over medium-high heat; add the chicken pieces and brown each side 5 minutes. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the cornstarch and milk, then add cider. Add the apple slices and cider mixture to the chicken; simmer, uncovered, until the apples are tender, about 20 minutes. The cider should be reduced by half of the original volume.
3 Remove the apple slices and the chicken to a serving platter; cover and keep warm.
