Ingredients
4 oz Fish, anchovies, European, with oil, drained, 2 ounce can (packed in olive oil)
6 medium garlic cloves , peeled
1 phyllo pastry dough sheet , frozen, thawed
0.25 cup fresh thyme , leaves, minced
4 tbsp Oil, olive, pure


Directions
1 Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
2 Chop anchovies into small pieces; reserve. In a bowl, mix oil with garlic. Using a fork, smash oil and garlic to make a paste.
3 Form pastry sheet into a rectangle and coat with garlic oil paste. Slice pastry into 120, 1-inch square portions. Arrange a piece of anchovy and some thyme on each square and put on a cooking sheet.
4 Bake about 25 minutes or until the pastry has puffed and is golden.
Additional Information
These can be served warm or at room temperature. They can be assembled in advance and then heated just before serving. Rinse anchovies to bring sodium down.
