2 Pears, fresh, small
2 tbsp slivered almonds
2 tsp almond extract
1 pinch (as garnish)


Directions
1 Cut the pears in half and remove the center.
2 Make a thin slice on the rounded side so that it will sit flat.
3 Toast the almonds in a toaster oven until golden.
4 Put the pears onto small plates and sprinkle extract in the center of each.
5 Spoon almonds in the center.
6 Garnish with fresh mint.
