Can taking Cephalexin 500 mg. caps show a false high reading when checking blood sugar on my bgm machine?

Background Info Hide
I started taking Cephalexin yesterday and prior to then my readings were mostly in the normal range. This morning my reading was 251 for no reason. My eating and exercise hasn't changed. I know the drug info sheet states that this medicine may cause false test results with some urine glucose tests, but it doesn't mention bgm machines.

Cephalexin sould not be causing high blood sugars; they are most likely due to the infection or issue that you are taking the antibiotic for. Even if you have dental work, blood sugars can rise shortly afterwards.
