Well, children and adults have different recommended intakes for various nutrients. But if I understand what you're asking, the answer is that just as there is no "diabetes diet" for adults, there isn't one for kids. People with diabetes need the same basic balance of nutrients that everyone else does. People with diabetes, kids and adults, have a "carbohydrate sensitivity" -- to use the new lexicon -- and need to spend their carbs wisely and track their food's effects on their blood sugar.
