The dizziness and headache could be a result of many factors. An isolated reading of 77 does not indicate hypoglycemia to me; your health care team would have to look at several blood sugar reading throughout the day to get a good assessment of your diabetes control. More blood work may be warranted to check your A1C, and other parameters that may account for your symptoms. Dehydration can cause these symptoms along with other factors that your doctor can look at. Based on knowing one reading, I wouldn't jump to the conclusion that this a result of hypoglycemia. You say that you eat lots of sugar; this can be a problem because concentrated sweets can cause a huge surge in blood sugars followed by a sudden drop. More testing will give you more information that could be very helpful to your treatment. Good luck, and thank you for your question!
