Dear sir/madam, im a CDE,i would like to say about my patients problems. He 's 60,type 2 and using 70/30 ,using low dose 6&4 units but hypo continue.

Thank you for your question. Without a complete patient profile, this is a difficult one to answer. When using pre-mixed insulin, you are more bound to the peaks and valleys that come with this type of therapy. Perhaps using a basal/bolus insulin regime would help you gain a better handle on the patient. Have you tried separate insulins rather than pre-mixed such as glargine and/or humalog,etc??
