Hello,

Thanks for asking dLife.

The thought of a Diabetes Weight Loss Breakthrough program sounds very interesting. Dr. Jen did not present enough detailed information for me to assess her program. A general program could not address individual situations. Unfortunately, one size does not fit all.

You are experiencing situations that make following a diabetes treatment plan especially challenging. What are other factors in your lifestyle? What in the past has helped you to succeed? What are you able and willing to do now?

These and other factors must be taken into consideration when developing an individualized plan that meets your personal needs. A registered dietitian specializing in diabetes might be better able to help you establish such a meal and exercise plan.

Care giving is especially stressful. One can easily experience burnout. There may be programs in your community that can provide services in support of the caregiver. A medical social worker can identify local resources and provide strategies for better coping. This way, you would be better able to manage your diabetes. Taking better care of yourself enables you to take care of your family.

Take care.
