Hello,

Thanks for asking dLife.

OneTouch Control Solution is still used to check that the meter and the test strips are working properly. Situations to check your meter include:

  • Whenever you open a new vial of test strips
  • If you suspect the meter or test strips are not working properly
  • If you are repeatedly getting unexpected blood sugar results
  • If you drop or damage your meter

The control solution is specific for your meter. Make sure your meter, test strips, and control solution are at room temperature before testing.

Any time you have a question about your particular meter, call the 1-800 telephone number on the back of your meter. The customer service department can provide details particular to your meter.

Read about the purpose of using control solution.

    Take care.
