Good afternoon dLifeuser2011; Thank you for consulting with dLife, including us in your care planning, your continued good health is very important to us, as you are a valued customer.

Insulin storage and proper temperature maintenance is as important as all the other diabetes self management skills you have achieved. Temperatures, regardless of the refrigerator, recommended for storage range within 34-45 degrees. Storage is best as to avoid any extreems, i.e. freezing or hot temps from placing insulin in the sun. Extreme temperatures can destroy insulin. As to assure proper refrigeration, get a portable temperature gauge, (located in the kitchen area of the hardware store), hang in the back and check temp range daily, (similar to SBGM) checking for accuracy of ranges.
