doing very well. Also doing well in keeping my weight under control although it flucuates somewhat depending on my diet. I exercise (walk 30 minutes) 4-6 times per wk. The main issue I have is my husband if we are out shopping, etc., wants to go to Braums and have a milk shake. I have absolutely no will power, since I feel I am depriving him of something he enjoys, plus I really like shakes, too. How do I handle this? HELP!!

Hello,

Thanks for asking dLife.

I wish that I can prescribe some willpower for everyone to resist temptation. Sometimes it is the amount of the sweet treats that can get us in trouble with blood glucose (sugar) control.

Discuss your concerns with your husband. Ask him for his help. Perhaps sharing a small serving to reduce the total carbohydrate and calories. Also, consider having a small treat only once a week or every two weeks. Be sure to count the carbs in these treats.
