I averaged 107 before and about 130 two hours after eating for three months. Two days ago suddenly dropped to 80s low and 112 high. Should I worry?

Diagnosed type 2 in March with an A1c of 7.0. Early June I retested after intervening with diet and exercise (lost 30 pounds) and had a 6.0 A1c. My lows have dropped by 20-25 the last two days and my highs have dropped by the same amount. I can spike to about 165 if I have a high sugar/carb meal. With this recent drop of 20-25 I get weak and shaky. I'm afraid to do cardio with my lower blood sugar numbers. Yesterday before breakfast 104 1 hour after 165. Two hours later 73. Ate two chicken strips and nuts and rose to 110. Back down to low 80s in the afternoon and around 100-110 the rest of the day.

Your averages now are in a more normal range, which is probably reflective of your lifestyle changes and weight loss. You really should not feel shaky when you're in a normal range, but you may just need some time for your body to adjust to being lower. I would suggest eating a lower glycemic index snack (less than 70, or one that won't spike your blood glucose levels) when you're not feeling quite right, but still have blood glucose levels that would be considered normal, not low. If you plan on exercising under such conditions, a snack prior to starting is also a reasonable thing to have.

A normal blood sugar reading before eating is 70-90. A blood sugar that only changes minimally with eating is the goal you're aiming for. When you feel a bit shaky and your blood sugar is within normal range, you should not try and drive it higher. You can, however try a low carb snack or drink to give you more energy. Keep up the good work. Something that may work well for you is plain electrolyte water with nothing added. One brand is called Smart Water. When you exercise your electrolytes may become depleted and drinking this type of water should help.
