Hello whiz616,

Thanks for asking dLife.

It would be great not to have to prick your fingers several times a day. So far, the non-invasive blood glucose meters in development have proven to be less than accurate. Therefore, they were not yet FDA approved.

More recent blood glucose meters require less blood. The lancets are finer. As a result, finger sticks have become less painful.

Alternate site testing may be option. These sites include the upper arm, forearm, base of the thumb, and thigh.
