My morning blood sugar is testing consistently in a range of 150-159 daily. Two hours after I eat, my sugar tests @ 140-149. Is this high?

Take 100 milligrams of Januvia daily. Have neuropathy in my feet. The burning sensation has intensified which resulted in more frequent testing. My last AC1 level was 6.9.

YES! Your morning sugar should be less than 100, but most definitely less than 120. Less than 120 two hours after eating, also. Why hasn't your doctor explained what your numbers should be? It's very important to keep your sugar within normal range to prevent complications like neuropathy. It may help the burning if your sugar was normal. Maybe Januvia is not doing much for you. Have you tried metformin? NOT the xl or xr stuff (you might never leave the house due to diarrhea!) the good old fashioned 3X per day generic metformin... Please ask your Dr for some help in understanding diabetes, it is imperative, your life depends on it!
