I am a type 1 diabetic and I will be running a 5k soon, but I am not sure what to eat to get my BS up enough for it and stay at a good level.

Dear Jenna-Veev,

What to eat for a 5K race depends on a lot of different factors. The main ones that affect your blood glucose levels are how much insulin you have on board when you run, your timing with eating, and your training state and exercise intensity. You will definitely want to run with a minimum amount of insulin
