I don't remember where I heard it, but is there a connection between the long term use of manmade insulin and the advent of pancreatic cancer?

I have not seen any "credible" studies that reveal this connection. The FDA is always monitoring studies that can compromise human safety. You can call the insulin manufacturers themselves and they can provide you information on all their human studies to put your mind at ease.

I've also pondered that question. My mother was T2 and on insulin for 56 years. She was very diligent with her meds, low carb diet and lifestyle. It was a shock to us (esp me) that she was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer which eventually claimed her in less than a month. I am NIDDM T2. Needless to say I do believe there is a correlation between T2 and CA. I have had a baseline gastro scan done. I would recommend you do likewise
