Background Info Hide
Take Humalog only. Although last year on a cruise to the Mexican Riveira, went off the pump, and on to Lantus and Humalog shots, and the Lantus went bad. I did have an insulated bag and blue ice packs, but they melted before I could get back on the ship.

Dear 45years. Carrying insulin in hot or very cold temperatures is a challenge. It is often wise to take along an extra vial of each type of insulin and to leave that vial in your room at all times. Ask for a cabin with a mini-refrigerator. There are many new products on the market designed to help keep insulin at appropriate temperatures when you are not able to be inside. There are bags that are dipped in water and by evaporation of the water, keep the temperature in the bag at an appropriate temperature. There are styrofoam containers, insulated containers, blue ice containers, etc. Look through web sites that sell diabetes supplies and see what is available.
