Dear dinar_lilly, Thanks for asking your question about how to treat pre-diabetes. Many people can be helped at this stage by increasing their physical activity (exercise) and eating a healthy diet that encourages weight loss if you are overweight. A Registered dietitian can help you plan an appropriate diet. Occasionally, the medication glucophage (metformin) is prescribed. However, if diet and activity are truly incorporated into your lifestyle, you may have a better chance of slowing or stopping your progression to type 2 diabetes.

Metformin works for all kinds of prediabetes type-2.. Prediabetes type-2 may be cured and healed, but the knowledge of the cause is needed because diabetes type-2 has many origins. Try to increase the intake of omega-3 (about 20g a day) from flaxseed oil (ALA) blended with cottage cheese. Also, antinflammatory spices may help. All depend on the origin of your diabetes. Research is being done in case of stomac inflammation that causes diabetes type-2; omega-3 and spices are the solution. Stay away from potatoes, rice, and white flour products because they are worse than sugar. This is the way I am curing myself, and IT WORKS. If it works, you may reduce medication (Metformin).
